Sunny is an awesome lil mare with a great can do - will do attitude! She is an 2012 APHA sorrel rabicano overo that has one copy of the Pearl gene and is also has nd1 gene, which means she looks red dun but is not a dun. Also that any of her foals can have dun characteristics, yet not actually be a true dun. This young mare is a class act, She has a huge hip, very deep chest, very nice shoulders, great legs with a strong top line and a baby doll head. She is conformationally very correct, not to mention very athletic, smart and super sweet. Her half brother won Reserve World in Halter with APHA. She is out of an own son of Mighty Awesome. Her dam, who was shown sucessfully herself as a weanling, is an own daughter of World Champion, Prestigious, by Mr Impressit, by Mr Impressive. As a 3yr old, we took Sunny to Huntsville, Tx to a colt starting Challenge. The challenge is designed for trainers to showcase their skills in starting a halter broke only horse under saddle. They must to be able to walk/trot and lope with a rider and complete an obstacle course with only 3.5 hours of training, this includes all ground work and saddle work. We knew Sunny was very willing to please but had no idea of how much. She impressed everyone there and won 1st place! While she did complete the training there and completed the obstacle course even to the point of throwing a rope and dragging a log, we would not call her broke to ride as she needs more hauling and riding. She 5 Panel negative for genetic defects but does carry one copy LWO, meaning she should not be crossed with another LWO carrier. We bred Sunny last year to our Buckskin tobiano stallion, Justa Shot of Spark and we were more than impressed with the results! Sunny foaled a solid rabicano buckskin filly that is built out of this world! She is an awesome 1st time momma, heavy milker, very easy breeder, (took in one cover), text book cycles and text book perfect delivery! Just as her dam was. We are breeding her back this year to our cremello stallion, First Gold Express for a 2020 guaranteed palomino foal. She is sound and sane to put under back under saddle, I frequently ride her around with nothing but a halter and lead rope. This mare has impressed us so much that we are no longer offering her for sale. Not only did she have a stunning 2019 filly, she also took on an orphan foal in addition to her own this year for us. Hard to find mares with this kind of temperament, bloodlines and being such a good dam.
